Every week I share the research and tools I use to answer three questions: where we are in the market cycle, what it means for your money, and which assets are best positioned for what comes next. Then I show you exactly what I'm doing in a public portfolio you can check, wins and losses included. My money is where my words are.
I'm J.C. Rodriguez, a long-term investor and former helicopter engineer. In aviation, a mistake could cost far more than money, and that's where I built the mindset and discipline I invest with today.
In more than ten years in the markets, I’ve seen how the financial world makes money from your attention, your fear or a commission. That’s why everything feels so urgent. And that’s why this publication is fully independent: no ads, no affiliates, no sponsors. It’s funded only by its readers, so I answer to no one but my own principles, my experience and my work ethic.
I'm grateful to every one of my readers, and I want it to be easy to reach me. You'll find answers to the most common questions below, and if anything is still unclear, just email me here.

FAQ
I’m new. Where do I start?
Subscribe for free, then join the community chat in the Substack app or on the web. That’s where you’ll get notified every time I publish new research or make a move in my portfolio.
What do I get for free, and what is Premium?
Free keeps you informed, so the market never catches you off guard. Premium is for when you want to be ready before it moves, and make every decision with confidence.
Free
Market Research and Portfolio: Weekly analysis of what's driving the markets, and every buy and sell in my portfolio as it happens
Premium

Watchlist: In-depth research on the best companies, and the moves I’m preparing in my own portfolio
Full chat access with me: Join a community of long-term investors, ask me anything and never invest alone
How can I receive notifications?
Download the Substack app if you want a notification every time I publish new research or update a portfolio position. That is the best way to follow the chat without missing anything. If English is not your language, the app can also show the content in your language with its translation mode.
Download the Substack app here.
Why is Premium more expensive in the app?
The price is higher in the iOS and Android apps because Apple and Google charge a store commission. I do not earn more when you subscribe there. That extra amount goes to the stores, not to me.
The best way to join is on the web. Then you can use the same account in the app to read and get notifications.
Where can I see the portfolio?
On my website, you can review the full portfolio, including every current position and the history of decisions.
You can find the public portfolio here.
